You know what? I'm not going to cheer. Baucus could have introduced a yearlong unemployment benefits extension before the election. You know, when the Dems had enough votes to guarantee it would pass both houses of Congress.
And what idiots. They had little to draw a line between them and Republicans leading up to the mid-terms They should have pushed the umemployment benefits issue before the mid-terms and they might have seen a better turnout.
Now they're trying something that may or may not work. Not in terms of getting votes but in terms of people's lives. The Dems have been very disappointing in this new decade.
