He was very embarrassing.
The reason the US Consulate in Benghazi was attacked September 11, 2012 and Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith and Chris Stevens were killed? Because the Congress didn't give State every dime they wanted for security. Well . . . for security and reconstruction and . . .
I'm going to assume that most of us have been in a class like civics or history and had a group discussion led by the teacher where there wasn't a wrong opinion if you could back it up. So if I said, "George Washington was evil," I would be asked to back that up or if I said, "George Washington was a saint," I would be asked to back that up. My opinion wasn't an issue or problem unless I couldn't back it up. Again, I'll assume we all have had a classroom experience like that or can picture one if we haven't.
So the point here is that if Howard Berman thinks that the budget approved by Congress was not adequate, he needs to back that up.
He offered the Fiscal Year budget for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and even 2013 which is underway.
"So, Ava, what's your problem?"
How about this? Those fiscal year budgets he offered?
Not a damn thing to do with security. They were the budget to address global warming.
Now I believe global warming is happening and that it's a result of our actions.
But the fact that I'm not a science denier doesn't mean that I'll applaud Berman for including this in his his testimony when he should have been talking about the security budget.
His failure to do so made him look like he had something to hide.
But maybe he just came unprepared?
Could be. Regardless, he was so puffed up and proud of himself but he just looked like an idiot.
Now here's C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
