Also be sure to check out Ann's post last night. She's covering the Vatican's attack on American nuns.
Now we're going to talk Barbies. I get so many e-mails on that now.
As I noted, C.I. got me the Barbie case I needed. If you need one, you should do what I should have right away, forget about years.
When looking online, don't try to figure out what year you saw one. Instead, go with "sleep." They're called sleep cases. You'll find them online a lot easier that way. I just got another one. My granddaughter and I are building a house. Actually, that's due to my son Mike. She's too small for a Barbie dream house (three stories) but the Barbie Vacation House isn't big enough.
Mike was playing with her this weekend and I go in and he's using that case -- with beds out -- as a bedroom. He's put it right next to the house. And my granddaughter was so excited. She grabbed my hand and pulled me over to show me what "Unka Mike" had done. "L"s were hard for several of my kids until they hit five or six so I'm not surprised that she's got the same issue. It kicks in. I have no idea why but it just does it on it's own.
Anyway, he created all this stuff for her using things in the room. He also went up in the attack and got some of his brothers and his big cars and they're big enough for Barbie to fit in so my granddaughter -- I'm going to call her Rosie here. So Rosie has these garages that Mike's fixed up and six different cars she can put her Barbies in. She's so happy.
But Elaine found something that we're using as well and calling a bedroom and if you're needing a Barbie case, I urge you to get it. It holds 3 Barbies. It's a case. It's fashion runway. It's new and you can get it at Toys R Us and at Amazon (and probably other places). It's about 20 bucks. The case folds out on both sides. On one side, it provides a vanity and a mirror (and there's a chair) for Barbie to get ready for the fashion show. The other side (and they both fold down at the same time if you want them too) is a black background with some lights drawn on and a 'runway.' That runway is a single bed. They've used the old bed blueprints, I'm not joking. Now Rosie has no idea of what a fashion runway is. She's the one who, Saturday, insisted it was a bed. She saw it before I did. So we call that "Big Barbie" bedroom. It's for the Big Barbie.
So I hope that helps someone who's looking for a carrying case. It's sturdy, it's new and you can pick it up at Toys R Us (that's what Elaine did) and avoid shipping costs that you'd pay on E-bay -- and some of those people want 20 bucks just to ship.

I'll try to Barbie blog more often. Judging by the e-mails, a lot of you are looking for stuff or your daughters, granddaughters and nieces. And it has become fun to talk Barbies.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for Tuesday:
