Death Of The Liberal Class
Chris Hedges' Death Of The Liberal Class is really an amazing book. I enjoyed it while I was sick but Thursday and/or Friday read the same 15 pages over and over.
I finished the book today and love it. Please read this book.
I'd love to tell you it has a hopeful note to end on but it doesn't.
For me, my favorite section was the last third of the book. Especially when Hedges spoke with various activists from various religions and then recounted how corporations worked to destroy Ralph Nader's image.
This really is a great book.
I wish I could start all over at the beginning because, though I enjoyed it from the beginning, when I started reading it, I was sick and I'm sure that weakened its impact.
Tomorrow I'm going to dicuss the book in greater detail. I may give away details so if you don't want any spoilers, skip tomorrow. That is your heads up.
