Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Lying Photo Ops" from last night may be the only thing that will prompt a smile in this post. A lot of bad economic news.
First up, Danny Schechter and others miss the point in his column at Information Clearing House:
Stories like this, invented or not, freak a White House ever eager to reassure the business world of their loyalties. That is no doubt why Robert Gibbs, the President's Press Secretary took a whack at the "professional left," a statement he later said had been "inartful" but did not withdraw.
Writing on OpEd News, Kevin Gosztola was not surprised:
"While circumstantial, the best evidence for why Gibbs would feel like uttering the aforementioned remarks is the shift of money from Wall Street to Republicans ahead of the election... The Democrats earned 57 percent of campaign contributions from securities and investment industries.
The situation compels the Obama Administration, especially White House press secretary Gibbs, to whip the left and the sections that are most listened to by voters into line not only because money from business interests needs to swing back the other way but because disappointed and disillusioned voters will likely stay home, not donate to Democratic Party campaigns, not make phone calls, and refuse to go door-to-door canvassing prior to Election Day if they do not fall in line."
First off, Danny's always been a giggling school girl when it came to Barack Obama. He's so busy pissing in his panties in excitement that he can't do his job. That's a real damn shame because before he drank the Kool-Aid, Danny was one of the brightest and most independent thinkers in the Beggar Media. He was someone to read, someone that grabbed you each morning. I don't think we'll see that Danny ever again. I think in 2013, with a new president in the White House, we'll see some glimmers of that Danny but he's sold so much of his integrity and he's not even aware of it. He's in constant denial.
I could go on at length but my focus is economics. See, my focus is economics, Danny's is fairy tales that excuse Barack.
Danny and his Whores rush to insist that because someone on the right called Barack a Socialist, that's why Gibbsy insulted the left.
No, you dumb ass, stupid bitch. That's the only word for Danny Schecter who comes across like a battered wife trying to excuse away the spousal abuse.
Gibbs said what he said because he meant it.
Here's reality, not fantasy. A number of Democrats in the House -- Centrists and Progressives -- feel Barack is selling them down the river intentionally so he can be re-elected in 2012. He has no way of winning in 2012 if Dems remain in control of the House because people will ask for results and Barack's not produced any. He's not produced any while having control of the House and Senate. If he loses the House, he can say, "I didn't have the House and look at what those bad Republicans did!"
That was the theory of a progressive US senator in 2009. He spoke to some progressive House members and, bit by bit, a large number in the House is beginning to feel that Barack is intentionally selling them down the river for his political glory.
No surprise, Bobby Rush could tell you that's a typical Barack move.
In Danny's fairy tale world ("Barack Hit Me and It Felt Like A Kiss!"), Gibbs was forced to utter words he didn't believe. Yeah, whatever. And it was because Wall Street's giving more money to Republicans.
What a bunch of crap.
Wall Street is so much smarter than the left. They play each of the major (corporate) parties off one another. They take away money in one race so that the threat is real and the political parties know it will be backed up.
On the left? There are the Dannys who excuse away any insult and abuse. The ones who rush to kiss the fists that beat them.
There are far too many of those sickos.
If the left wants to get real, they need to get real. Send Barack a message, call him out, stop babying that little bitch who thinks he can get away with trashing us, with insulting us and everything else.
And Danny Schechter, you stupid fool, Robert Gibbs remarks are no different than Barack's own remarks (which you ignored in real time) when he was going for the Dem nomination in 2007 and attacked the sixties and "Tom Hayden Democrats." You need to grow up and you need to wise up, Danny Schechter.
I was going to write more about the economy but I'm too angry now.
And I'm honestly offended that we lost (the left lost) one of the smartest people we had (Danny) to the Hopium of Barack Obama.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for Monday:
