That went up Sunday. This morning in "The violence and the whores," C.I. wrote about Tom Appelbaum.
Sadly, he will be rather well known.
Back when the federal government refused to do a national parade, he and another man planned and fund raised for one in St. Louis. And they pulled it off.
Which would be a good thing most days.
Today's not most days.
This was an event for veterans. This was non-political and non-partisan.
Until this morning when the Barack Obama re-election campaign released a new video, this one featuring Appelbaum giving Barack all this credit over footage of a parade he didn't fund and didn't attend.
Appelbaum decided to use the veterans parade to try and win some votes for Barack.
In other words, he went back on everything he used to fund raise.
And, in doing so, he made things that much more difficult for anyone planning a parade. Now when they say, "This is non-political," people will remember what Appelbaum did and not believe them.
He betrayed everyone. He should be ashamed of himself.
