Which is good because many spices are good for us. Chili powder and red pepper, for example, will increase your vitamin A. And they season food to make it seem different.
Do you like lemmon pepper. This is Kara's favorite spice and she slices two medium potatoes into wedges, puts them in a microwavable container, pops them in with microwave with a spoonful of butter. Once they cook for five minutes, she sprinkles them with lemon pepper.
She writes it's the best thing she's ever tasted.
I left out an ingredient: Freedom.
Kara just moved into her own apartment -- for the first time.
I think we all have a dish that makes us think back to those days of initial independence. And it points out that food isn't just the taste of what's on the plate but also the mood around us.
